Andrew Fisher

Andrew Fisher, born in 1862 in Crosshouse, Scotland, immigrated to Gympie in 1885. He settled in Gympie and became actively involved in the trade union movement. Fisher went on to become a notable Australian politician, serving as the Prime Minister of Australia on three separate occasions: 1908–1909, 1910–1913, and 1914–1915.
